Tax Associate (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Associate to join our remote finance team, supporting US‑based individuals and small businesses with their federal and state tax filings. The role involves preparing returns, reviewing client documentation and ensuring compliance throughout the tax season.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal and state income tax returns (Form 1040, Schedule C, Form 1120S, Form 1065) for individuals and small businesses.
• Gather, organize and review client tax documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify missing information, communicate with clients and resolve documentation issues.
• Utilize professional tax preparation software to prepare, update and file returns.
• Support internal quality‑control processes and review completed returns for accuracy.
• Collaborate with accountants, tax managers and leadership to meet filing deadlines.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of hands‑on US tax preparation experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax forms and multi‑state filings.
• Experience working in a US CPA, tax or accounting firm.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
