Tax Analyst Staff – German Expatriate Tax

About the role

Join the core‑tax mobility team to prepare German tax returns and related services for expatriates of various clients. You will receive comprehensive training from EY on German tax technical areas before starting the assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse fiscal data and tax questionnaires.
• Prepare tax returns for German tax residents and non‑residents.
• Calculate fiscal equalisation and hypothetical taxes when required.
• Review tax assessments and inquiries issued by German tax authorities.
• Participate in weekly calls with seniors and managers and keep the senior in charge informed of progress.

Required profile

• Advanced students or recent graduates in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics.
• C1 level German proficiency (written and verbal).
• Fluent English (written and verbal).
• Experience with German personal income tax laws or DATEV Income Tax software is a plus.
• Prior corporate experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
