Talent Sourcer (Contract – Remote)

About the role

Makai Labs is seeking an experienced Talent Sourcer on a contract basis to build qualified candidate pipelines for technical and product positions. This is a pure sourcing role focused on finding, engaging, and handing off recruiter‑ready candidates. The position is fully remote, offshore‑only, and engaged as a 1099 independent contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute sourcing strategies for engineering, AI/ML, DevOps, QA, and product roles.
• Run searches and build passive pipelines using Juicebox as the primary tool.
• Craft and refine Boolean and X‑Ray search strings across LinkedIn, GitHub, and other platforms.
• Conduct cold outreach, manage response sequences, and move candidates into the pipeline.
• Maintain candidate data hygiene in Ashby, including accurate tagging and stage movement.
• Deliver a weekly volume of qualified, pipeline‑ready candidates per role.
• Flag credential inconsistencies for recruiter follow‑up and track basic sourcing metrics.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on sourcing experience, preferably for technical or product positions.
• Extensive experience using Ashby for search, filtering, tagging, and pipeline management.
• Proficiency with Juicebox for independent search creation and refinement.
• Strong ability to construct Boolean and X‑Ray queries across multiple platforms.
