Success Engineer

About the role

Metabase is looking for a customer‑focused, highly technical Success Engineer to join its global team. The role helps customers get the most out of Metabase, an open‑source data insight platform.

Key responsibilities

• Talk to users to understand their goals and challenges.
• Help customers design and optimise their Metabase implementation.
• Guide customers in extracting data from various sources, shaping it, and converting questions into executable queries.
• Solve complex problems and troubleshoot customer issues.
• Collaborate with technical communicators to create educational materials.
• Serve as the voice of the customer to product and engineering teams.

Required profile

• Enjoy helping people and solving their problems.
• Strong technical background with 3+ years of experience writing production code, administering systems, or managing databases.
• Strong database and SQL skills.
• Expertise in at least two areas: designing/developing web applications, managing infrastructure (Docker, AWS/GCP), or managing databases.
