Staff Accountant (Remote, Full-Time)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team remotely. The role supports financial operations across multiple real‑estate properties, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow) for various properties.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger entries; assist with month‑end and year‑end close.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist in budgeting, quarterly forecasting and variance analysis.
• Track property‑related expenses, capital expenditures, rent collections and tenant deposits.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, invoice processing and vendor management.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen financial controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in real‑estate or property management.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with real‑estate accounting software.
