Spanish QA Lead (Remote) – Contract

About the role

This contract position is for a Spanish Quality Assurance Lead who will oversee the quality, consistency, and trainer performance of AI‑generated Spanish content. Working remotely, you will ensure that all Spanish training data meets rigorous linguistic and cultural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Spanish content and trainer/QA work against detailed project rubrics.
• Provide precise written feedback in English to improve accuracy, fluency, grammar, tone, and cultural appropriateness.
• Identify recurring quality issues and communicate updates to trainers and QA teams.
• Support onboarding of new contributors and maintain up‑to‑date documentation.
• Monitor contributor activity and reactivate inconsistent performers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, Education, Quality Assurance or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in Spanish with strong reading and writing skills.
• Excellent command of English for following guidelines and delivering feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Spanish writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation or similar workflows.
• Familiarity with both Latin American and European Spanish variants, with the ability to specify supported variants.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Spanish grammar, spelling, punctuation, accents, tone, register and cultural context.
• Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics and spot issues such as mistranslation, unnatural phrasing, missing accents, hallucinated claims, ambiguity or inconsistent terminology.
