Software Engineer – Industrial Automation

About the role

The Software Engineer will design, develop, and implement software applications that support and enhance industrial automation systems, working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high‑performance solutions for reverse logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications for industrial automation.
• Build scalable libraries, tools, APIs, reporting platforms, and visualization solutions.
• Integrate machine vision systems, machine‑learning models, and data‑processing technologies into workflows.
• Collaborate with project managers, automation engineers, and cross‑functional stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, best‑practice development, and research initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong programming experience with C++, Python, and/or C#.
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Experience building scalable solutions in industrial automation, manufacturing, or logistics environments.

Required skills

• SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, performance optimization.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, microservice architectures.
• Machine vision technologies (OpenCV) and hardware integration.
• Machine‑learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC‑UA, EtherCAT) and integration with PLC, SCADA, HMI systems.
