Senior Business Systems Analyst

About the role

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is a senior, hands-on member of the ELITA Agile Scrum Team who translates business needs into clear, testable functional requirements and validates that delivered solutions meet them. The role covers business and systems analysis, requirements quality and traceability, functional test design and execution, and solution validation across the delivery lifecycle. It works with stakeholders, Product Owners, developers and QA teams across LATAM and global regions, on a global platform supporting multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document and validate business and system requirements for new initiatives and enhancements.
• Create and maintain Product Backlog Items, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, business rules and functional specifications.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, developers and QA analysts throughout the Agile software development lifecycle.
• Perform functional, integration and end-to-end testing, document test results and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Analyze production issues, take part in root cause analysis and recommend improvements to system performance and user experience.
• Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning and requirements discussions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, automation and the use of AI-enabled tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst or similar role supporting technology solutions and business applications.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Agile Scrum development environments.
• Experience gathering, documenting and managing requirements, user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Experience in functional testing, system validation, defect management and UAT support.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Experience with cross-functional teams of business stakeholders, developers, QA professionals and product owners.

• Knowledge of APIs, system integrations, databases and software development methodologies.
• Experience using AI tools to improve analysis, documentation, testing or delivery.
