Software Architect (R&D) – Remote

About the role

Miratech is seeking an experienced Software Architect to define technical vision for new products and technology initiatives. You will evaluate emerging technologies, design modern cloud‑native solutions, and guide engineering teams to deliver scalable, production‑ready systems.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve architectural vision for products, platforms, and technology initiatives.
• Research emerging technologies, conduct technical evaluations, and lead Proof of Concept initiatives.
• Design scalable cloud‑native, distributed, and hybrid architectures.
• Establish architectural standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines.
• Lead technical design of complex enterprise and high‑load systems.
• Support engineering teams in solving complex technical challenges and making key architectural decisions.
• Conduct architecture reviews and technical solution assessments.
• Mentor technical leads and senior engineers and help shape engineering culture.

Required profile

• 4+ years in a Software Architect, Enterprise Architect, Engineering Director, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of modern architectural patterns, software design principles, and distributed systems.
• Experience leading distributed engineering teams and driving architectural initiatives.
• Proven ability to evaluate technologies based on scalability, TCO, and long‑term sustainability.
