Senior US Tax Professional

About the role

Advisant Financial is looking for an experienced US Tax Professional to act as the second‑in‑command to the firm’s principal. You will own the full tax return preparation process and gradually take on client‑facing advisory work, enabling the principal to focus on firm growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual and entity tax returns, with emphasis on 1065 Partnerships and 1120‑S S‑Corps.
• Manage client communications primarily through written channels (TaxDome portal, email) and occasional video calls.
• Develop and execute proactive tax planning strategies for small‑to‑mid‑size business clients.
• Maintain clean documentation, workpapers, and client records within TaxDome.
• Identify complex technical issues and collaborate with the principal on high‑level tax positions.
• Contribute ideas to streamline firm processes as the practice shifts toward advisory services.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on US taxation experience.
• Advanced proficiency in preparing 1065 Partnership and 1120‑S S‑Corp returns, including shareholder basis and capital accounts.
• Native or bilingual English fluency with exceptional written communication skills.
• Strong financial statement analysis abilities, high attention to detail, and a proven track record of accurate work.
