Senior Tax Analyst – Argentina

About the role

The Senior Tax Analyst will serve as the key technical reference for Argentina tax matters within Chevron's Upstream International Tax & Royalties Team. This role combines deep tax expertise with business partnership to ensure compliance, support audits, and drive process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation, review, filing and payment coordination of Argentina tax returns and related reporting.
• Oversee calculation and compliance of Argentina Oil & Gas royalties.
• Prepare and maintain information for tax authority audits and regulatory inquiries.
• Interpret Argentina tax legislation, assess business impacts and provide guidance to stakeholders.
• Review SOX tax controls, tax account reconciliations and close activities, recommending corrective actions.
• Act as a technical reference, supporting training, coaching and knowledge transfer within the team.
• Lead or support cross‑functional projects focused on standardisation, automation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 10+ years of experience in tax compliance, tax accounting and tax advisory roles.
• Proven experience preparing and reviewing Argentina tax returns and managing tax audits.
• Strong knowledge of Argentina tax legislation and SOX tax controls.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
