Senior Statutory & Tax Specialist

About the role

Join SAP’s Local Reporting and Tax Compliance (LRTC) organisation as a Senior Statutory & Tax Specialist. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements and tax returns for multiple subsidiaries, applying IFRS, local GAAPs and tax legislation while supporting automation and process‑standardisation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate corporate tax returns (CIT, VAT, WHT) ensuring full compliance and correct identification of deductible items.
• Maintain and reconcile periodic tax accounts in line with IAS 12.
• Draft financial statements according to IFRS and relevant local GAAPs, highlighting differences between standards.
• Collaborate with CFOs, local chief accountants, tax managers, treasury, controlling, auditors and tax authorities.
• Drive continuous improvement by supporting automation of tax returns and financial statement preparation.
• Address complex topics such as transfer pricing, global minimum tax, hyperinflation accounting, and M&A transactions.
• Research and produce technical memorandums to justify tax and accounting treatments at subsidiary level.

Required profile

• Qualified tax advisor or accountant with 6‑10 years of hands‑on experience in tax compliance and financial statement preparation.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, IAS 12 and local GAAPs.
• Proven ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assertive, independent worker with strong analytical skills.
