Senior SEO Strategist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior SEO Strategist to lead the organic performance of our contractor clients. The role sits at the heart of our digital marketing agency, shaping SEO strategy, guiding the fulfillment team and delivering measurable growth in visibility, traffic, leads and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Own performance across Google Maps, Local Pack, Google Business Profile, organic and AI‑driven search for priority keywords and markets.
• Develop and execute Local SEO and Google Maps strategies, including GBP optimization, NAP consistency, citations, reviews, local links and geographic relevance.
• Implement semantic, micro‑semantic and entity optimization, ensuring structured data, schema and knowledge‑graph relationships are complete.
• Provide actionable SEO recommendations to Account Managers, translating technical data into clear business language.
• Design visibility strategies for emerging AI search platforms such as Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Perplexity.
• Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, OpenAI Codex, AI agents) to accelerate research, audits, strategy development and reporting while validating outputs.
• Oversee SEO‑driven website architecture, including URL structure, content hierarchy and internal linking.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in SEO, preferably within a digital‑marketing agency.
• Strong leadership ability to direct a fulfillment team and mentor account managers.
• Analytical mindset with the capacity to identify performance gaps before clients do.
• Comfort with rapidly evolving AI search technologies and a willingness to experiment.
