Senior Revenue Accountant – Content Revenue

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to lead content revenue accounting and reporting for our global aviation and maritime clients. The role involves month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal policies while collaborating with finance, legal, sales, treasury and tax teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review purchase orders and cost reports for license fees and technical services; prepare cost accruals.
• Prepare deferred and accrued revenue schedules, journal entries, and intercompany invoices.
• Calculate royalty accruals and revenue adjustments under ASC 605 and ASC 606.
• Perform client‑level revenue analysis and reconcile deferred revenue balances.
• Prepare reports, presentations and summaries for senior management.
• Support internal and external auditors during financial and SOX audits.
• Identify and implement scalable process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Assist with special projects and research as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–3 years of general accounting experience; public accounting background is a plus.
• CPA preferred; MBA considered an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition standards (ASC 606) and royalty accounting concepts.
