Senior Legal Counsel – Argentina

About the role

Dow is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to act as a trusted adviser for its operations in Argentina. The role partners with business, manufacturing and functional leaders to enable safe, compliant and successful operations while managing legal risk.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, practical, risk‑based legal advice aligned with business objectives and Dow values.
• Advise on environmental, health and safety regulations, operational compliance, permitting, inspections and incident response.
• Offer strategic counsel on employment and labor matters, including union engagement, investigations and disputes.
• Support interactions with regulators, governmental authorities and industry associations.
• Manage outside counsel and service providers, overseeing strategy, performance and budgets.
• Travel to the Bahía Blanca site at least once per month and as needed.

Required profile

• Law degree and active qualification to practice law in Argentina with at least eight years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a leading law firm, in‑house legal department, or both, handling complex, high‑impact matters.
• Background advising clients in energy, chemicals, petrochemicals, manufacturing or similarly regulated industries.
• Demonstrated ability to manage employment, labor, environmental, regulatory and operational legal matters.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to influence without authority.
