Senior Legal Counsel – Antitrust & Competition

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Legal Counsel, Antitrust & Competition to join our regional legal team. This critical role will navigate the complex competition landscape across LATAM, ensuring the business thrives while meeting the highest regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advisory on competition law matters, including antitrust investigations and commercial agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support design, implementation and continuous improvement of the global competition law compliance program, adapting it to local market nuances.
• Partner with senior regional and local leadership to advise on strategic initiatives, competition risks and regulatory investigations.
• Advise on platform‑specific issues such as merchant parity clauses, loyalty programs, dynamic pricing and gig‑economy labor considerations.
• Lead competition law investigations and regulatory engagements, including Dawn Raid readiness and response protocols.
• Translate evolving regulatory developments into practical, business‑oriented guidance.
• Develop and deliver high‑impact training sessions to stakeholders worldwide to foster an antitrust‑aware culture.

Required profile

• 5+ years of post‑qualified experience in competition/antitrust law, preferably from a top‑tier international law firm or fast‑paced in‑house environment.
• Strong understanding of antitrust regimes across LATAM and emerging digital‑economy regulations.
• Deep knowledge of two‑sided markets, platform economics and how network effects influence market power.
• Proven ability to balance rigorous legal risk management with commercial goals of a high‑growth tech business.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex legal concepts for non‑legal stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high‑priority projects across different time zones and jurisdictions.
