Senior Full Stack .NET Engineer

About the role

Ascendum is looking for a Senior Full Stack .NET Engineer to drive a modernization effort for a healthcare‑focused client. You will work on a hybrid stack, maintaining legacy .NET Framework applications while building new .NET 8 services and migrating AngularJS modules to modern Angular.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain C# applications on both .NET Framework 4.8 and .NET Core 8.
• Modernize ASP.NET MVC (Razor) and Web API applications, including migration to .NET 8.
• Develop and tune Entity Framework 6 and Entity Framework Core code, handling migrations and performance diagnostics.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL Server queries, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Maintain AngularJS applications and contribute to migration to Angular v20 with strong TypeScript focus.
• Deploy and support IIS‑hosted applications, manage load balancing and authentication.
• Build and troubleshoot background processing using Windows Services and Scheduled Tasks.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience with C# and the Microsoft stack, including recent hands‑on work with .NET Framework 4.8 and .NET Core.
• Proven ability to work independently in loosely defined environments and take initiative.
• Comfortable reading large, unfamiliar codebases and identifying technical debt.
• Experience working in agile teams with Git‑based version control.
