Senior Frontend Engineer – Contract (Deel)

About the role

Compass is looking for a motivated Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Transaction Journey organization. You will help build a collaborative transaction‑management platform that streamlines the buying and selling process for real‑estate agents.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality frontend features using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Work in a startup‑like, agile environment delivering complex tasks independently.
• Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and write comprehensive automated tests.
• Create clear documentation, diagrams, and runbooks for services you own.
• Partner with designers to turn sketches into responsive web components.
• Own the lifecycle of frontend services, improving performance and reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience building large‑scale, user‑facing web applications.
• Strong collaboration skills with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Familiarity with UX and web‑design principles.
