Senior Data Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Data Software Engineer to design and deliver high‑performance big‑data applications and cloud‑native data pipelines. You will work closely with cross‑functional product, marketing and data teams to turn business requirements into reliable, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑performance big‑data applications using Scala, Databricks, Spark SQL, Spark Streaming and Python.
• Build and optimise cloud‑native data pipelines on Azure, including Azure Data Factory ingestion, transformation and orchestration.
• Implement robust APIs and micro‑services that integrate MarTech systems with client‑facing platforms.
• Design event‑driven, distributed architectures to improve reliability, maintainability and scalability.
• Build and maintain full‑stack applications using modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) and backend services.
• Drive AI‑assisted engineering practices such as Vibe Coding and generative‑AI development accelerators.
• Collaborate with product, marketing and data teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Optimise performance, cost and operational stability across data processing and application services.
• Establish engineering standards, conduct code reviews and support CI/CD pipelines for full‑stack and data workloads.

Required profile

• 3+ years of data software engineering experience with Python and Scala.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Databricks for large‑scale data processing.
• Proven team‑leadership skills in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments.
• Strong project delivery experience across data and application layers.
• Upper‑intermediate English (B2) communication skills.
