Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect with strong hands‑on experience on Google Cloud Platform. The role will involve designing end‑to‑end data architectures and building scalable, production‑ready data solutions for global projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end data architectures on GCP.
• Build ingestion, transformation and processing pipelines using tools such as Dataflow and Cloud Composer.
• Work with both structured and unstructured data, ensuring security, observability and data quality.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver productive solutions.

Required profile

• Solid experience in data engineering and data architecture.
• Hands‑on expertise with Google Cloud Platform services.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub).
• Python and SQL programming.
• dbt, Airflow or Cloud Composer for workflow orchestration.
• ETL/ELT, data modeling and Medallion architecture.
• Terraform, CI/CD or other infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
