AWS Data Engineer

About the role

Netrix Global is looking for an AWS Data Engineer for its Professional Services - Data Intelligence department, working remotely from Buenos Aires, Argentina. The engineer supports the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the client's data platform, acting as a bridge between data scientists who build AI models and the teams that run them. The position is open to candidates from anywhere in Argentina.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, create and prepare data for modern data solutions and for AI
• Design ETLs and ELTs for data transformations
• Design, build and manage data lake architectures
• Work on Apache Hadoop projects (Spark, Hive, Pig, Oozie, Airflow)
• Integrate and test data solutions, and document tests to meet requirements
• Manage data cloud services, access, security and governance
• Analyze and prepare data for machine learning workloads
• Monitor and log applications and services

Required profile

• Experience as a Data Engineer or Architect in ETL, data preparation and ingestion, and data streaming
• Experience in AWS environments
• Intermediate to upper English level
• Experience in an Agile Scrum team
• Shift 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday

Required skills

• Apache Spark
• AWS services such as S3, Glue, Athena, SageMaker
• DevOps tools (Git, pipelines)
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Python, R or other data processing tools
