Senior Data Architect

About the role

Qubika is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of end‑to‑end data solutions on the Databricks platform. You will work with innovative projects for start‑ups and established companies, shaping data strategy and ensuring robust governance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Lakehouse architectures on Databricks, including Delta Lake and Unity Catalog, covering catalog and schema design, governance, and row‑level security.
• Lead data ingestion pipelines from Oracle transactional databases using JDBC, applying partitioning and parallelism techniques.
• Validate architectural decisions during discovery phases and act as the technical review gate for the development team.
• Provide technical leadership, making independent architecture decisions and mentoring team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience building end‑to‑end data architectures on Databricks.
• Hands‑on experience ingesting data from Oracle via JDBC with performance optimization.
• Strong technical leadership and ability to make autonomous architecture decisions.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Nice‑to‑have: experience with retail data consolidation (sales, inventory, pricing) and data governance in LATAM environments.
