Senior Credit Risk Analyst – Corporate Banking

About the role

Citi is looking for a Credit Risk Senior Analyst to join its global credit platform in Buenos Aires. You will support the evaluation and monitoring of credit risk across a portfolio of corporate and institutional banking clients, working closely with underwriting and risk teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis, spread and evaluate financial statements.
• Prepare annual and quarterly credit reviews and support transaction analysis.
• Assist in determining risk ratings and identify early‑warning signals.
• Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance and industry developments.
• Support underwriting teams with credit‑related analysis for new and existing transactions.
• Maintain credit systems, ensure data accuracy and track pipeline activity.
• Collaborate with global Risk, Banking and Operations teams, and support internal reviews, audits and regulatory processes.
• Help onboard and train new team members and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, banking or risk roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Solid understanding of financial statements and basic accounting principles.
• Experience working with corporate or institutional banking environments and global or regional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with credit systems or financial spreading tools.
