Senior Compliance Analyst

About the role

AES is hiring a Senior Compliance Analyst for both AES Servicios America (ASA) and AES Argentina Generacion S.A. (AAG). The role implements and administers the AES Ethics and Compliance program at both companies, with a focus on supply chain due diligence and supporting the AES procurement process.

Key responsibilities

• Support the third-party vendor due diligence process for all AES Servicios transactions.
• Conduct due diligence on business partners, service providers, joint venture partners and acquisition targets.
• Work with Sourcing Buyers so that appropriate Compliance Terms and Conditions are included in all sourcing contracts.
• Liaise with Regional Compliance Officers and the Deputy Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer on regional sourcing processes.
• Educate and train employees on ethics and compliance issues, including anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, gifts and entertainment, charitable contributions, political donations, workplace harassment and other compliance risks.
• Collaborate with Legal, Internal Audit, Human Resources, EHS and Controller to resolve issues and mitigate risk.
• Address employee concerns about ethics and compliance.

Required profile

• 2+ years of compliance experience in a similar in-house role, law firm or external audit firm.
• Legal degree required.
• Knowledge of anti-corruption laws and regulations and the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in procurement and the energy industry is a plus.

• Proactive, able to manage multiple projects and work independently, reporting to the AAG Compliance Officer and the Deputy Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer.
