Senior CloudOps Engineer – Remote (LATAM)

About the role

FreightPOP is looking for a Senior CloudOps Engineer to own and modernize its cloud infrastructure. You will drive scalability, reliability and security for critical logistics operations while working remotely from Brazil, Mexico or Argentina.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain highly available, secure and scalable cloud solutions primarily on AWS.
• Define and enforce cloud operations standards, governance policies and best‑practice documentation.
• Lead infrastructure modernization, automation and platform improvement initiatives using Infrastructure as Code.
• Establish monitoring, observability, alerting and operational health standards across the platform.
• Develop cloud security strategies, vulnerability management processes and hardening standards.
• Design backup, disaster‑recovery, business‑continuity and resiliency strategies.
• Guide capacity planning, performance optimisation and long‑term infrastructure growth.
• Partner with engineering teams on architecture, reliability and operational readiness.
• Mentor team members and provide technical leadership.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies, tooling and architectural improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, Infrastructure or Systems Engineering.
• Proven experience designing and supporting cloud environments in AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent English.
