Senior Business Analyst – Banking & Fintech

About the role

Avenga is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join its Buenos Aires team within the Banking & Fintech sector. You will act as the bridge between business strategy and technology delivery, shaping functional definitions, optimizing processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance for digital channels and financial products.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document functional and non‑functional requirements in collaboration with cross‑functional business areas.
• Facilitate discovery sessions, process‑mapping workshops (AS‑IS / TO‑BE) and backlog refinement meetings.
• Design optimized future processes, identify simplification and automation opportunities.
• Provide continuous functional support to development teams during sprints, clarifying requirements and removing blockers.
• Collaborate with QA on test‑case design and support business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Maintain documentation and keep the knowledge base up‑to‑date for long‑term platform traceability.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in banking, fintech or financial services.
• In‑depth knowledge of banking products (accounts, payment methods, digital channels) and relevant regulatory frameworks (BCRA preferred).
• Advanced studies in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics or related fields.
• Strong ability to write clear user stories with testable acceptance criteria and refine backlogs with Product Owners.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Information Security and Operations.
