Senior AP/AR Accountant

About the role

Finvisor is seeking a client‑focused Senior AP/AR Accountant to support a portfolio of venture‑backed startups. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, interacting with accounting, payroll, and compliance teams to ensure accurate financial operations for multiple clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare client invoices and apply payments accurately and on time.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and payable activity, investigating any discrepancies.
• Manage high‑volume AP/AR correspondence across multiple clients.
• Troubleshoot issues, propose process improvements, and support system enhancements.
• Handle data entry and assist with monthly workflow processes.
• Respond promptly and professionally to client and vendor inquiries via phone and email.
• Support ad‑hoc accounting tasks, reporting, and project work as needed.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, AR/AP, or bookkeeping, preferably with startup or multi‑client exposure.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, and/or BILL.
• Familiarity with modern finance tools such as Ramp, Brex, Tabs, or Expensify.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets/Docs and Microsoft Excel.
