Senior Accounting Reviewer (QuickBooks Online)

About the role

We are a growing U.S.-based accounting firm seeking an experienced senior accounting professional to oversee and improve the quality of bookkeeping work produced by junior staff. The role focuses on critical review, error correction, and mentorship rather than routine data entry.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate bookkeeping records prepared by junior bookkeepers.
• Identify, correct, and document accounting discrepancies and adjustments.
• Create and post journal entries, handling complex transactions such as loans, accounts receivable, reclassifications, and adjustments.
• Provide clear explanations of accounting logic to junior team members.
• Ensure client books are accurate, consistent, and ready for financial reporting.
• Contribute to the improvement of internal review processes and bookkeeping quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience using QuickBooks Online.
• Hands‑on experience with U.S. companies and U.S. GAAP accounting practices.
• Proven ability to review, correct, and explain accounting work.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, especially with messy or incomplete books.
• Comfortable training and supporting junior staff.
