Senior Accountant

About the role

Placemakr is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Finance, Accounting & Analytics team. You will own month‑end close, bank reconciliations, payroll processing, fixed‑asset accounting, and the preparation of financial reports that support management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and finalize bank reconciliations for corporate and property entities.
• Lead month‑end close, including revenue reconciliations and balance‑sheet account maintenance.
• Invoice properties for payroll and operating‑expense reimbursements.
• Enter payroll data in QuickBooks and verify proper allocation across properties.
• Manage fixed‑asset accounting and conduct initial quality‑control reviews.
• Prepare lender reports, RE filings, and annual budget/bonus calculations.
• Support the annual audit and tax processes, including PBC schedules and workpapers.
• Develop SOPs for all Finance & Accounting processes you participate in.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real‑estate or hospitality.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Experience using ERP accounting applications.
