Senior Accountant – Hospitality Industry

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a proactive Senior Accountant to support its fast‑growing portfolio of hospitality clients. The role is client‑facing and requires ownership of month‑end and year‑end closes, balance‑sheet optimization, and the delivery of accurate financial reporting in line with US GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Drive month‑end and year‑end close processes, preparing P&L and Balance Sheet statements on strict deadlines.
• Streamline balance‑sheet reconciliation as client volume increases.
• Manage journal entries, financial reporting, and reconciliations across multiple properties or client accounts.
• Utilize hospitality and accounting platforms to process daily financial data and improve workflow efficiency.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, internal controls, and client service delivery.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, property accounting, or outsourced accounting services.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, full‑cycle account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Self‑starter with high accountability, able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
