Remote Bilingual English/Spanish Litigation Paralegal

About the role

We are seeking a remote, bilingual (English/Spanish) paralegal to support attorneys at a busy U.S. law firm. The role focuses on litigation matters such as personal injury, employment, tenant/landlord, criminal, and family law, with a strong emphasis on California cases.

Key responsibilities

• Manage case files, track deadlines, and maintain client notes.
• Draft, edit, and file legal documents including pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, providing updates and gathering required information.
• Conduct legal research on California statutes and case law, summarizing findings for attorneys.
• Organize digital and physical case materials, prepare exhibits and evidence for court.
• Assist with calendar management, billing, time tracking, and scheduling.
• Translate and interpret legal documents and client communications between English and Spanish.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a paralegal certificate from an approved institution.
• Minimum 2 years of litigation paralegal experience in a U.S. law firm, preferably with California cases.
• Fluent English (B2 level or higher) and strong written Spanish.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and handle confidential information.
• Reliable home office setup with high‑speed internet and backup power.

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management tools such as Clio and MyCase.
• Legal document drafting and filing in accordance with California law.
• Bilingual translation and interpretation (English ↔ Spanish).
