Project Controls Manager

About the role

The Project Controls Manager will establish and lead Bechtel’s Project Controls function from the Buenos Aires corporate office. This senior position provides strategic leadership across cost engineering, estimating, cost control, forecasting, planning, scheduling, progress measurement and performance reporting for a technically complex portfolio of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Bechtel standards, develop local capabilities and create a governance and controls framework for successful project delivery.
• Act as a strategic partner to business and project leadership, supporting decision‑making, risk management and opportunity identification.
• Lead cost engineering, estimating, cost control, forecasting, planning and scheduling activities that enable growth and execution of Bechtel’s operations in Argentina.
• Prepare and present project/program estimates and cost forecasts.
• Support project and program organizational and administrative activities.
• Provide non‑routine cost engineering, planning and scheduling guidance.
• Oversee, train and mentor the Project Controls team to ensure consistent application of procedures and timely insights.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading project controls or cost engineering functions in a complex, multi‑project environment.
• Strong ability to work as a strategic partner with senior business and project leaders.
• Demonstrated capability to develop local teams and embed governance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to deliver clear performance reporting.
