Principal Full Stack Developer

About the role

The Ritz‑Carlton Yacht Collection is seeking a Principal Full Stack Developer to define and maintain the technical architecture of its guest‑facing digital platforms. The role starts remotely and will transition to an on‑site presence in Buenos Aires once a co‑working space is secured.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain architecture for web, mobile integration layers and APIs, setting coding conventions, review practices and release processes.
• Contribute hands‑on development (~50% of time) across front‑end (React, Next.js) and back‑end (Node.js, Python) stacks.
• Lead technical discovery, produce specifications, estimate effort and review major pull requests.
• Identify and remediate technical debt while balancing delivery needs with long‑term platform health.
• Evaluate third‑party tools, APIs and services; act as escalation point for complex engineering problems.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a principal, staff or lead architect capacity.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work independently in a lean team.
• Proven track record of defining and enforcing engineering standards and making architectural decisions for cloud‑hosted, production‑scale applications.
