Pre‑Sales Solution Architect – Expert Professional

About the role

As a Pre‑Sales Solution Architect Expert Professional at Hitachi Vantara, you will act as a technical leader, translating complex customer requirements into innovative, value‑driven Hitachi solutions. You will partner with account teams throughout the sales cycle to ensure proposals align with the company’s portfolio and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to drive technical engagement across the sales process.
• Lead customer discovery, define requirements and design outcome‑focused solutions.
• Deliver demonstrations, workshops, proofs‑of‑concept and technical presentations.
• Support RFP responses, competitive positioning and technical due diligence.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Services and Partners to ensure successful customer outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in pre‑sales or solution architecture roles within the storage and data management industry.
• Professional proficiency in English and ability to travel as needed.

Required skills

• Deep technical knowledge of storage ecosystems: block, file, object, private cloud, hybrid cloud, IaaS, cyber security and data management.
• Strong customer‑facing communication, discovery and presentation abilities.
