Platform Architect – Databricks Lakehouse

About the role

We are looking for a Platform Architect with deep expertise in the Databricks Lakehouse ecosystem to design and implement end‑to‑end data solutions for our clients. This remote position is based in Argentina and focuses on building reliable, scalable, and cost‑efficient data pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) on Databricks Lakehouse.
• Troubleshoot and tune large‑scale Spark jobs using caching, partitioning, and broadcast joins.
• Leverage Delta Lake features such as ACID transactions, schema enforcement, time‑travel, and Z‑ordering.
• Define unified data‑governance models with Unity Catalog, including RBAC, row/column‑level security, and lineage.
• Configure cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP, managing IAM roles, VNet setups, and storage services.
• Monitor DBUs, right‑size clusters, and apply best practices to avoid cloud‑bill shock.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Databricks Lakehouse, Spark internals, and Delta Lake.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their native security services.
• Advanced SQL skills and fluency in Python or Scala.
• Ability to design cost‑optimized, high‑performance data pipelines.
