Part‑Time Weekend Lab Analyst

About the role

Certified Group is seeking a part‑time Lab Analyst to work weekends in its Springdale laboratory. The role focuses on analytical and microbiological testing of food products, ingredients, and environmental samples, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately perform and interpret microbiological and analytical test results, reporting any deviations to Laboratory Management.
• Prepare and analyze samples for indicator organisms, pathogens, and chemical assays.
• Apply aseptic and microbiological techniques throughout daily workflow.
• Maintain inventory of expendable supplies and report material needs.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, sanitizing, and equipment quality control.
• Assist with quality duties such as monitoring incubator temperatures, inoculating control organisms, and running media controls.
• Follow FSNS policies, procedures, and customer specifications for all processes.
• Stay current with scientific literature, workshops, and industry trends.
• Perform all activities in a safe, hygienic, and efficient manner.
