Operations Assistant (G-5) – Fixed Term – Buenos Aires

About the role

The Operations Assistant supports the delivery of ICT, administrative and premises management services at UNICEF Argentina’s Country Office, ensuring business continuity and an enabling work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level ICT support, log and process service requests, and maintain security of physical and logical infrastructure.
• Support events with ICT and audiovisual equipment, and assist users with hardware and software issues.
• Maintain inventories, documentation, and install, configure and sustain ICT systems.
• Prepare periodic ICT reports, track service‑request lifecycles, and support training initiatives.
• Monitor premises conditions, coordinate maintenance, supervise outsourced services (security, cleaning, reception), and act as on‑site focal point for operational issues.

Required profile

• Completed secondary education.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT support, service desk, network or systems administration, audiovisual support, facilities or vendor management, and inventory control.
