Medical Science Liaison - Immunology

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in immunology for its Medical Affairs group in Buenos Aires. The MSL's mission is to discuss treatments with physicians and other customers through customized interactions, shaping medical behaviour and supporting informed decisions while bringing medical insights into the organisation. The role sits in the Medical Affairs group, under the Medical Science Liaison sub-function.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with community and academic healthcare professionals (HCPs) focused on changing medical behaviour through the exchange of scientific knowledge.
• Convey the value of the treatment's attributes (efficacy, safety, effectiveness, adherence, quality of life) to gain stakeholder endorsement.
• Shape medical practice before launch by preparing the healthcare environment and accelerating adoption, including engaging prescribers and pre-approval access programmes.
• Follow up on education and adoption of new knowledge, and identify barriers to change in medical practice.
• Answer scientific questions from HCPs, investigators, healthcare systems and population health decision makers.
• Integrate scientific data into real-life practice and identify and support potential clinical trial sites when needed.

Required profile

• Deep scientific knowledge of the therapeutic area, with the ability to interpret scientific data.
• Dermatology and/or rheumatology background; a medical degree is preferred.
• Work experience, scientific acumen and communication skills to engage leading specialists in peer-to-peer relationships.
• Proficiency in English and business acumen.
• Teamwork, leadership and influencing skills, able to work in a matrix organisation.
• Willingness to travel 25%.
