Luxury Butler – Guest Relations (Shipboard)

About the role

The Butler is responsible for delivering an exceptional, personalized in‑suite experience for guests aboard a luxury vessel. Acting as the primary liaison between guests and all hotel and marine departments, the Butler anticipates needs, ensures seamless service, and maintains the highest standards of presentation and hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and orient Retreat guests, explaining suite features, amenities, ship offerings, ports of call, and exclusive privileges.
• Serve as the guest’s personal point of contact, coordinating inter‑departmental communication to guarantee flawless service delivery.
• Conduct taste‑testing and quality checks of food, beverages, and all services before guest consumption.
• Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and inventory of assigned suites, ensuring every detail meets premium standards.
• Collaborate with other Retreat areas to share guest preferences and continuously elevate the overall experience.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of guest‑facing service experience in a luxury environment.
• Fluent, clear, and courteous spoken English; ability to read and write English for procedures and communication.
• Well‑groomed, confident appearance with a warm, welcoming demeanor.
• Strong emotional intelligence, resourceful problem‑solving, and basic knowledge of conflict resolution.
• Familiarity with food and beverage service standards.
