Local SEO Specialist – Google My Business & Google Maps

About the role

We are seeking a freelance Local SEO Specialist to optimise our Google My Business (GMB) profile and achieve top‑3 rankings on Google Maps for our target area. The role is remote and performance‑based, with payment made after the desired ranking is secured.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a full audit and optimise the GMB listing, including categories, descriptions, photos and attributes.
• Implement local SEO tactics to reach a top‑3 position on Google Maps.
• Build and manage local citations and high‑quality backlinks.
• Monitor, respond to and leverage customer reviews to improve rating and engagement.
• Track rankings, generate regular progress reports and adjust strategies as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience optimising GMB profiles with documented success in achieving top‑3 Google Maps rankings.
• Strong understanding of local SEO ranking factors and citation management.
• Ability to provide case studies or a portfolio of past GMB results.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Fluent English.
