KYC Associate - Client Onboarding

About the role

JPMorgan Chase is looking for a KYC Associate within its Commercial Banking Client On-boarding (CBCO) Know Your Customer (KYC) organization in Buenos Aires. The team supports client coverage by fulfilling Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and KYC requirements, ensuring client KYC records meet regulatory standards and that due diligence is completed with high quality and on time at inception and renewal.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client and partner expectations in a consultative way and show ownership of KYC/AML experience and client experience.
• Ensure KYC/AML deliverables are met and hold internal partners accountable.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of KYC/AML processes and resolve delays or inefficiencies.
• Manage operational risk and escalate risk items so they are closed.
• Support bankers in client selection and independently manage the renewal cycle of Due Diligence Forms with Relationship Management.
• Manage client risk and account for timely portfolio management while keeping quality expectations.

Required profile

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in financial services.
• Previous credit training or underwriting experience.
• Ability to identify AML risks and apply AML/KYC policy concepts.
• Working knowledge of risk factors affecting specific products and industries.
