Kitchen Staff

About the role

Opaa! Food Management is seeking reliable kitchen staff to prepare breakfast and lunch, support catering functions, and perform all kitchen positions across its locations.

Key responsibilities

• Set up serving lines daily, ensure food is held at required temperatures, and stock milk coolers.
• Assist in food preparation according to menu plans and Opaa! recipes, including baking and batch cooking.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, ovens, fryers, and other kitchen equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, perform dishwashing duties, and manage inventory using FIFO procedures.
• Handle cash transactions, run the POS system for reimbursable meals, and complete daily paperwork and meal reconciliation.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; related experience acceptable.
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions, perform basic math calculations, and communicate effectively in one‑on‑one or small group settings.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb regularly and occasionally exert over 60 lb of force.

Required skills

• Operation of kitchen equipment: slicer, mixer, grinder, dishwasher, oven, stove, fryer, thermometers, gauges.
• Use of meal counting software and basic computer applications (desktop PC, calculator).
• Experience with ADP timekeeping or similar payroll systems.
