Kitchen Staff – Food Preparation & Service

About the role

Join Opaa! Food Management as a Kitchen Staff member responsible for preparing breakfast and lunch offerings, supporting catering events, and ensuring smooth operation of all kitchen stations.

Key responsibilities

• Set up serving lines daily and maintain food at required temperatures.
• Prepare menu items according to Opaa! recipes and plan ahead for next‑day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders and other kitchen equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow FIFO inventory practices.
• Monitor and record hot and cold food temperatures, completing HACCP logs.
• Clean kitchen, cafeteria, equipment, and dishwashing areas; manage chemical usage safely.
• Requisition food and supplies through the Kitchen Manager and restock serving stations.
• Assist with occasional catering functions and serve items with proper portions and presentation.

Required profile

• Ability to follow standardized recipes and menu plans.
• Commitment to food safety regulations (HHFKA, CACFP, HACCP).
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Reliability in maintaining accurate production records.
• Adherence to Opaa!’s core values and safety procedures.

Required skills

• Operating kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, and grinders.
• Food safety compliance, including HACCP processes and temperature monitoring.
• Inventory management using FIFO methodology.
• Cleaning and sanitation of kitchen and dishwashing areas.
