IT Microsoft Technical Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on IT Microsoft Technical Specialist to own the administration and execution of our technology infrastructure and related projects. This is a delivery‑focused position where you will configure systems, migrate platforms, provision users, and manage a backlog of active IT initiatives from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 tenants across multiple portfolio companies, handling user/group management, license assignments, SharePoint permissions, and cross‑tenant settings.
• Manage identity and access with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including SSO setup, conditional‑access policies, dynamic groups, and employee segmentation.
• Lead migrations for MDM solutions (Intune, JumpCloud or similar), covering device enrollment, policy configuration, and cut‑over.
• Build and maintain automated onboarding and off‑boarding workflows across tools such as Microsoft 365, Slack, 1Password, Asana, and others.
• Administer a broad stack of 20+ applications, consolidating admin accounts, evaluating technology, tracking licenses, and coordinating with vendors.
• Execute and track an active IT project backlog, providing regular status updates to leadership.
• Manage domain transitions, email‑alias switchovers, and login updates across platforms.
• Conduct tool audits and keep an accurate inventory of licenses and contracts.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience administering Microsoft 365 at the tenant level.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) including SSO, conditional access, and identity lifecycle management.
• Experience with MDM platforms (Intune, JumpCloud or similar) and device‑management workflows.
• Proven ability to own IT projects end‑to‑end, not just coordinate them.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English, able to update non‑technical stakeholders.
