Full‑time Remote English Teacher for Primary Students

About the role

The British Council is seeking a full‑time Remote English Teacher to deliver high‑quality English lessons to primary‑school children (ages 9‑11) in Uruguay. Working from Buenos Aires, you will provide one hour of remote instruction per week, supported by a classroom teacher on site.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver up to 26 remote English lessons per week, including any required substitutions.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback via the CREA platform at least 24 hours before each lesson.
• Adapt lessons to individual learning styles and meet British Council and partner standards.
• Complete teaching‑related administrative tasks and participate in professional development activities.
• Support local marketing initiatives and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in Argentina at the time of application.
• Fluent English with strong written communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely and manage a flexible teaching schedule.
• Commitment to delivering lessons in accordance with British Council quality standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the CREA online teaching platform.
