Fraud Investigations Specialist

About the role

The Accenture Fraud Investigation Team is looking for a Fraud Investigation Specialist (level 9) to join a diverse team whose main objective is to protect the company worldwide against fraud risk. The role covers investigating allegations of fraud or abuse by internal employees, reviewing transactions across systems and analysing evidence.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate alerts for potentially fraudulent activity and review transactions in multiple systems together with input from other sources.
• Collect, review and research evidence and documents to analyse the overall fact pattern of claims.
• Conduct deep, objective, fair, impartial and timely investigations into allegations of fraud or abuse by internal employees.
• Analyse investigations to identify trends and patterns, evaluate and escalate matters involving suspicious activity, suspected or confirmed fraud, and track remediation of audit findings.
• Share best practices on obtaining and analysing information, help develop action plans and recommend actions toward investigated employees.
• Assist in producing communication materials and lead training to build team capability.
• Communicate with internal and external sources, suggest new ways of detecting fraud and improve existing fraud models, working with technical staff to test them.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (Economics, Communications, Law, Criminology, etc.).
• Experience in fraud prevention fields such as fraud detection, investigation, forensic accounting, law enforcement, or similar work in payments, procurement, travel and entertainment, internal controls, internal audit, compliance or regulatory areas.
• Upper intermediate English (reading, listening, written and oral).
• Preferred: risk management knowledge, customer service experience, strong written and verbal communication, logical problem-solving, ability to present to upper management, independence and ability to handle multiple cases; CFE certification is a plus but not required; SAP knowledge and experience leading multidisciplinary teams are also mentioned.
