FP&A Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

Moody's is seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to lead a team responsible for analytical reporting, forecasting, month‑end close, and variance analysis. The role will provide strategic oversight for monthly financial reports and support senior management in decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team delivering analytical, forecasting, month‑end, and variance analysis reporting.
• Provide strategic oversight for monthly reports and variance analysis to highlight key focus areas for senior leadership.
• Oversee input of forecast and budget projections into Moody's financial reporting system.
• Drive business planning processes, including forecast, budget, and multi‑year strategic plans.
• Execute ad‑hoc projects based on evolving business needs.

Required profile

• 6‑9 years of relevant financial experience in accounting, auditing, financial analysis, or financial planning.
• Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong analytical decision‑making, problem‑solving, and data‑quality orientation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with multidimensional reporting tools such as Hyperion Planning and Essbase.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel, and financial modeling.
• Knowledge of accounting concepts and financial systems.
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and interest in applying AI tools to improve processes.
