Forward Error Correction Engineer

About the role

Marvell Argentina is seeking a Forward Error Correction Engineer to design and implement advanced FEC and DSP schemes for optical coherent transceivers. The role focuses on developing high‑performance error‑correction blocks implemented in ASIC hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze state‑of‑the‑art error correction techniques using floating‑ and fixed‑point simulation platforms.
• Implement FEC/DSP algorithms in HDL (Verilog or SystemVerilog) for ASICs.
• Validate and verify hardware blocks to ensure reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve complex optimization problems.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in electronics, computer software, telecommunications or related field.
• Self‑motivated, curious and able to work effectively in a team.
• Strong analytical skills and willingness to learn advanced error‑correcting schemes.
