Financial Specialist – Financial Modeling Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Specialist with strong quantitative and analytical skills to design, maintain, and review complex financial models that support investment decisions and business valuations. The role will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing data‑driven insights for projects such as M&A, LBOs, and strategic expansions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and update detailed financial models (P&L, cash‑flow, scenario and sensitivity analyses) to assess corporate performance.
• Conduct comprehensive financial statement analysis to identify trends, risks, and investment opportunities.
• Prepare research reports that synthesize modeling results, clearly explaining value drivers and underlying assumptions.
• Defend valuations and projections before internal committees, senior stakeholders, or clients under critical questioning.
• Support strategic initiatives, including expansion projects, M&A transactions, and other capital‑allocation decisions with precise quantitative data.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of demonstrable experience in valuation, financial modeling, equity research, or corporate finance.
• Advanced degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field; CFA Level 1 or higher, Master in Finance or MBA is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (complex formulas, large data handling, model construction).
• Deep understanding of M&A and LBO concepts.
• Proficiency in financial accounting and financial statement analysis.
• Expertise in valuation techniques (DCF, multiples, comparable company analysis).
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
