Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join TENNIUM, a sports management company that organises top‑tier tennis events in Europe and South America. Reporting to the Finance Director/CFO, you will ensure tournament profitability, cash visibility and high‑quality reporting to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of financial control for tournaments and events, including budgeting, cost tracking and profitability analysis.
• Manage cash flow and treasury activities, planning international payments and collections.
• Prepare and monitor annual and tournament budgets, identify deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Produce monthly management reports covering P&L by tournament, consolidated results, cash flow and key performance indicators.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closings, ensuring accounting accuracy.
• Control and validate expenses such as prize money, hospitality, production, travel and supplier invoices.
• Maintain and optimise Microsoft Dynamics data quality, reporting and processes.
• Collaborate with operations and tournament teams to guide economic decisions.
• Coordinate with external advisors and auditors when required.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field.
• 1‑4 years of experience as a controller, preferably in project‑based, event‑driven or international environments.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Analytical, hands‑on and business‑oriented mindset.
• Comfortable working in fast‑paced settings with peak workloads around tournaments.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (mandatory).
• Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities.
• Experience with Power BI or other BI tools (nice to have).
